The Chaplaincy Team lead Collective worship
Well done to the Chaplaincy Team for leading their first virtual collective worship this year on Modern slavery. The Chaplaincy Team ended their worship with the Freedom prayer found above. Last year some members of the Chaplaincy Team attended a workshop at Derby Cathedral from the 'Just Enough Group' where they learnt all about Modern Slavery. The purpose of this Collective worship was for the Chaplaincy Team to share what they had learnt with the rest of the children in school.
For class collective worship each class has a collective worship tray containing a candle, some mini crosses, the roots and fruits value for the half term, a copy of the school GROW values and a Jesus Storybook Bible. Each class has also decorated their own cross which they bring to whole school collective worship in the hall.
Spiritual Journal collective worship competition
Well done to Rumaysa in 5MQ who won the 'Design our spiritual journal cover' competition this week. Please see Rumaysa's winning entry below. We loved that shows the school's GROW values. Rumaysa's design will be used as a front cover for our spiritual journals in all classes this year. Well done Rumaysa!
